Ten years of Supermums

Supermums was founded in 2016 by Heather Black to help women access opportunities in technology and build flexible, well-paid careers. Over the past decade, we have trained and mentored our Global community of AI tech champions into consultancy, administration, developer and AI roles.

Why the Business Hub now?

AI is transforming how small businesses operate — from marketing, CRM and customer service to websites, automation and operations. Female entrepreneurs often know they need to embrace AI, but do not know where to start or who to trust.

The Supermums Business Hub is the next step in our mission: a place where women in business can access practical training, trusted consultancy, coaching, community and workspace — all designed around the realities of running a business and raising a family.

Our vision

We want to empower more female-led businesses by connecting women trained by Supermums in AI and technology with the businesses who need their help. Those women become AI Champions and consultants, supporting other businesses to put the right technology, strategy and systems in place to start and scale.

The Supermums Business Hub brings together

  • A supportive community — networking events, Mums Business & Banter and a Slack workspace
  • A workspace in Hastings, launching November 2026, with coworking, dedicated desks and meeting rooms
  • A business directory that helps members find and promote female-led businesses
  • AI Champions and tech consultants who can implement the right tools and strategy

Sustainable Development Goals

Passionate about tackling the world's most important goals

Supermums is built on a belief that when women thrive in business and technology, whole communities benefit. Our work directly contributes to four United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and reduced inequalities.

By training women in AI and tech, connecting them with female-led businesses, and creating inclusive networks and workspaces, we are helping close opportunity gaps and build a more equitable economy — one business, one career, one community at a time.

Globally connected, but locally rooted

The Supermums Business Hub services are available internationally from launch, with online training, coaching and consultancy accessible to women globally. But real change happens through community and connections, so we wanted to build local network groups led by our home-grown AI Champions.

Local female instructors and AI Champions will bring the expertise to life in their own areas, creating a virtuous circle: upskill women in AI, connect them with female-led businesses, and help those businesses become more productive and competitive.

Heather Black, founder of Supermums

“I don't want women to be frightened of AI or left behind by it. I want women to be at the forefront of it.”
