Heather Black
Heather is an award-winning entrepreneur, coach and mentor known for getting things done. She has run businesses for 20 years, has a community of over 36,000 followers on LinkedIn, and has helped thousands of people start their next chapter through business and career coaching.
Originally from Cheshire, near Manchester, Heather lived across the South East and London before eventually settling just outside Hastings in 2012 to start a family here. She launched Supermums in 2016 just after her second child was born to inspire and empower more mums. With a 25-year career in designing and delivering business support and employability programmes, she is proud to be supporting a local to global community.
She trained in NLP Coaching at 26 and in Change Management at 34, and combines the two in her work. She has also lived through most of the big changes herself — starting and closing businesses, marriage and divorce, moving home, becoming a mum and losing both parents — so she coaches with real empathy, but always keeps the focus on your plan, not her story.
Heather is the former founder of Striding Out, which supported young professionals aged 18–30 with their careers and business ventures, and the founder of Supermums, which helps women launch careers in tech and AI. She also hosts the Mums on Cloud Nine podcast and is writing a book on navigating change.
The Supermums Women in Business Hub is the natural next step — a physical home for that community. Heather personally leads the one-to-one business coaching and the Superpower Hours group sessions at the Hub.
