Celebrating 10 years of Supermums: a mission to help women thrive in technology, now growing into a hub for female entrepreneurs.
Supermums was founded in 2016 by Heather Black to help women access opportunities in technology and build flexible, well-paid careers. Over the past decade, we have trained and mentored our global community of AI tech champions into consultancy, administration, developer and AI roles.
AI is transforming how small businesses operate - from marketing, CRM and customer service to websites, automation and operations. Female entrepreneurs often know they need to embrace AI, but do not know where to start or who to trust.
The Supermums Business Hub is the next step in our mission. The AI Powered Business Formula™ gives women-led businesses the skills, tools and support in AI and tech to scale, bringing together practical training, trusted consultancy and implementation support, all designed around the realities of running a business and raising a family.
We want to empower more female-led businesses by connecting women trained by Supermums in AI and technology with the businesses who need their help. Those women become consultants, supporting other businesses to put the right technology, strategy and systems in place to start and scale.
We aim to help 1,000 women-led businesses embrace AI and technology by 2030, closing the digital gap, supporting equality and helping women build stronger, more sustainable businesses.
Why we exist
Our mission is to give women-led businesses the skills and tools in AI and tech to scale, and to help 1,000 women-led businesses embrace AI by 2030. Three published findings show why that matters: women-led businesses are fewer in number, receive a small share of equity investment and reach a £1 million turnover far less often.

Sustainable Development Goals
Supermums is built on a belief that when women thrive in business and technology, whole communities benefit. Our work directly contributes to four United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: quality education, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and reduced inequalities.
By training women in AI and tech and connecting them with female-led businesses, we are helping close opportunity gaps and build a more equitable economy - one business, one career, one community at a time.
The Supermums Business Hub services are available internationally from launch, with online training and consultancy accessible to women globally. But real change happens through community and connections, so we wanted that expertise close to home too.
We look to bring bootcamps in person, led by local AI consultants, so women can build their AI skills close to home and female-led businesses get the practical help they need to become more productive and competitive.

A dedicated team of trainers, coaches and consultants helping women build flexible businesses and careers in tech - and now helping women-led businesses put AI to work.

Her approach is direct and commercial: understand the pressure points, choose technology that creates measurable value, and make sure the people using it feel confident rather than left behind.
